Hey, I’m just starting out with drawing basically but I’m kind of confused about how I should approach it. Should I learn it in a way that is purely constructable out of the mind or should I at first hand just focus on observational drawing.

for example, should I just start observational drawing (by lifedrawing or photoreference) in order to gain a likeness of target,

or should I apply a constructual method on top of my observations. in order to be eventually able to draw without a reference.

    thanks in advance,

could you give me some directions on this please, I like your videos, they inspire me.

Thanks Nero. I believe drawing from observartion is best for building foundation. Figure drawing, still life, landscape, etc. Once you have a strong foundation you can pretty much draw/freehand anything you want.
