PROFESSIONAL HISTORY

BottleRocket Entertainment  ::  Concept Artist, 3D Artist and Texture Artist  ::  Sep 2005 to Nov 2008.
  • Concept Artist throughout pre-visualization and production of console titles. Also created Concept Art for story development, game prototypes and marketing illustrations.

  • Developed and established art style, color palettes and visual elements.

  • Maintained Art Director's creative vision throughout production.

  • Improves productivity by assisting Producers and Art Directors to organize Concept Art staff and disperses creative resources.

  • Creates detailed production drawings and turn-arounds to assist 3D Artists and Character Modelers.

  • Designed and created UI art, HUD elements and splash screens.

  • 3D Artist credits include environment modeling, props and low-poly level maps. Expert level in Maya and 3D Studio Max.

  • Texture Artist for environments, props and interactive objects. Painted textures using Photoshop, adhering to palette and engine limitations.

  • Additional duties include defining art pipelines, workflow and documentation. Also organizes and monitors weekly figure drawing workshops for the studio.

  • Shipped titles include Xiaolin Showdown and Splatterhouse (expected Q4 2009).

Gameplay, functionality and first party standards testing for PS2 and Xbox console games. Shipped titles include Full Spectrum Warrior, Smackdown! vs Raw, and MXvsATV Unleashed.

Seiniger Advertising  ::  Freelance Illustrator  ::  Aug 2002
Created illustrations and comprehensive sketches for various advertisements. Clients included Universal Studios and Square Enix.

TerraGlyph Interactive Studios  ::  Cel Animator and Digital Colorist ::  Aug 1995 - Aug 1997
Responsible for animating characters, digital coloring and compositing for children's PC titles. Designed and rendered UI graphics using Photoshop. Shipped titles include Tiny Toons and Hansel and Gretel.

EDUCATION

Mentored and studied with several prominent Industry Professionals and Fine Artists:
  • Sergio Sanchez, Fine Artist and Instructor at Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Arts and Art Center. Personal training in figurative art such as gesture drawing, quick sketch and painting. Emphasis on charcoal rendering, painting and color theory. May 2004 to present.

  • Carlo Arellano, Concept Artist for feature films and videogames. Learned principles of Character Design and Conceptual Design for film and videogames. January 2003 to April 2003.

  • Steve Huston, Prominent Los Angeles Painter represented by Eleanor Ettinger Gallery. Lectured on principles and theory of visual art. Emphasis was on drawing and painting the figure. May 2004.
Pinellas County Center for the Arts, St. Petersburg, FL.  Four year degree in drawing, painting and sculpting from top visual arts school in central Florida.  Graduated June 1993.
